first_imgAll the accused in the Navruna Chakravorty case were granted bail on Monday by a special court after the CBI failed to submit a charge sheet against them. Twelve-year-old Navruna was abducted from Muzaffarpur in September 2012, apparently by members of the land mafia in connivance with local politicians and police officials eyeing her father’s prime property in the town. The CBI arrested eight persons, including local politician Shah Alam Shabbu, on April 28 this year. They were granted bail when the agency failed to submit the charge sheet within the stipulated 90 dayslast_img
