UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will now face Stipe Miocic on August 17 in Anaheim, California. The deal for the fight has verbally been agreed upon, but the contract has yet to be signed. Cormier defeated Miocic to win the championship.For nearly a year, UFC has teased the idea of a Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier title fight. Lesnar reentered the octagon back in July 2018 at UFC 226, shoved Cormier, and told him that he wanted to fight him. Lesnar was so serious about a return to UFC that he reentered the USADA testing pool. Cormier also addressed a Brock Lesnar fight after his first title defense at UFC 230 this past November.It should be noted that it appeared a UFC comeback appeared to be Lesnar’s next move post-WrestleMania, but he has instead opted to retire.
