first_img1 Reading winger Royston Drenthe is set to end his nightmare spell in England and make a move to China.Drenthe has struggled to make any impact with the Championship side and was shipped out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday this season. The Holland international has struggled to regain the form which saw him make a big move to Everton from Real Madrid back in 2011.Drenthe was not even given a squad number by former Reading boss Nigel Adkins during the summer. But having spent the first half of the season on loan at Hillsborough, the 27-year-old is now set to jet off to the Far East and hopes to finalise a move during the January transfer window.Reading boss Steve Clarke said: “The club called him back from Sheffield Wednesday because there’s an opportunity for Royston to get another move.“It’s progressing but until it actually happens it’s only speculation so we’ll have to wait and see.“But it looks in all probability that he’ll be going somewhere else for the second half of the season. If it comes off then it will be permanent.” Royston Drenthe last_img read more
